“These events are important for two reasons: one is to bring artists and their communities together with the businesses and entrepreneurs that abound in Montreal,” says ICWS Artistic Director and founder of Words Written Write David J Cox, “The second, and more important, is to raise money for Handicap International Canada.”

The hosts of the ICWS are the Crime Writers of Canada whose mission is to promote Canadian crime writing and to raise the profile of Canadian crime writers from coast to coast. Vice-President Michael Blair of the CWC says, “We are excited about hosting this unique affair… a great opportunity for our writers and their books to be in the public eye.”

Previous events have entertained almost 1000 visitors, as well as ‘showcasing’ over 50 exhibitors.
“Our membership has increased by half since we co-hosted the first Showcase last year,” states Christina Manolescu, Director of the Invisible Cities Network, “We are thrilled to be involved in this event again.”

The location, a popular and stylish Van Houtte café, will have food, beer, wine and of course coffee for guests to enjoy and the live bands and raffle will start at 5-pm sharp.
