In the last 7 years, we have held about seventy open meetings in which members and friends have gathered, struck up alliances, found common interests and even gone on to artistic collaborations. Thank you for continuing to introduce the Invisible Cities web site and e-mail newsletter to your colleagues and friends.
With the help of our core members, we have hosted Spoken Word/Cabaret events and even a grand scale conference at the FACE School building back in 2005.
The INVISIBLE CITIES NETWORK web site http://www.invisiblecitiesnetwork.org has become an archival repository of various past and current theatre reviews, arts and cultural events.
The ICN web site also recently became a participating member of the MECCA (Montreal English Critics Circle Award) group.
In the same spirit, we’ve kept up our electronic relay of local and other arts announcements (a kind of ‘just in time’ ICN bush telegraph system), which I’m told is appreciated and valued J by the artistic community and public at large. If ever, I should be in doubt, we’ve received hundreds of e-letters of thanks from members and friends since the adventure began.
Over the past seven years, we’ve also guided and helped quite a few first time author-publishers to get their precious work into print.
ICN organizers have met and got to know literally hundreds of people. It has been a privilege and a surprise, first of all, that the idea of INVISIBLE CITIES (named by co-founder Cristina Perissinotto) even caught on, and, secondly, that it has attained the enduring presence it holds today.
And so, on ICN’s cosmic year number seven, David, Nancy, and I would like to invite you to come and celebrate this milestone. It will be held on Tuesday, APRIL FIRST, 2008, starting at 6.00 pm.

Yes, believe it or not, our network, born on April Fool’s day, 2001, hatched during a tiny meeting at the now ‘disappeared’ Porté Disparu Café on the Plateau, has reached its seventh full year of existence. And so, on ICN’s cosmic year number seven, David, Nancy, and I would like to invite you to come and celebrate this milestone. It will be held on Tuesday, APRIL FIRST, 2008, starting at 6.00 pm.
