Dylan Spevack-Willcock
Dylan Spevack-Willcock is a storyteller from Montreal. Known as one of Canada’s finest storytellers (Ottawa Storytelling Festival, 2005), has told to audiences around North America and in the British Isles. He has told regularly at the Ottawa Storytelling Festival. He has also been the English Quebec Representative for Storytellers of Canada since 2001.
In conjunction with Dave Hickey and Jack Nissenson, Dylan has organized numerous storytelling events in Montreal with his most recent success being the 2004 Halloween Gala Week-end.
Dylan is particularly fond of Stories from the American south, as well as from the British Isles and Japan. He has told stories to audiences of all ages, and likes using puppets when telling to young children. He also likes telling to adults, however, and is currently putting together a set of stories from the Mabinogion (a Welsh epic). He is also currently developing several other solo shows.
With fellow storyteller John David Hickey, Dylan has performed at the 2004 Montreal Fringe Festival and, with the stories from that show they published their premiere book/CD entitled “You Don’t Know Jack.
