Author: Christina - Published 2011-11-11 20:58 - (1115 Reads)

Patrick Packwood, portraits paysages :
samedi 18 novembre de 16h à 17h, et dimanche 19 novembre de 10h à 11h

'Back in the 90s, my father, Tom Wilson, decided to record what he considered to have been a pretty good life. I do not think that it would have crossed his mind that it would be published, and for him I suspect it was an interesting exercise that the family might like to read when completed...' Upstage on CKUT with Estelle Rosen, RADIO CKUT. 90.3FM, Thursdays at 6pm

Author: Christina - Published 2011-09-25 21:36 - (3218 Reads)

UPSTAGE: Listen to Estelle Rosen's interviews on the theatre scene in Montreal on RADIO CKUT:

The term “upstage” in theatre refers to the area at the back of the stage, behind the action down front. Similarly, UPSTAGE theatre-on-radio offers an opportunity to those productions in the background; amateur, community, student, experimental, avantgarde. In other words, we give a voice to those in the theatre community that might otherwise not be heard.

Since June 30, 1995, UPSTAGE has been exploring all aspects of the world of theatre. From stage elements as lighting and set design to panel discussions on the role of theatre critics, and conversations with actors, directors and playwrights.

In that time, it's been most gratifying to be part of the ever evolving Montreal theatre world. It's been my pleasure to have played some small part in making people aware of the abundance of excellent talent.

By making theatre more accessible to those who are not regular theatregoers, we hope to increase audience interest, particularly for lesser known productions. Estelle Rosen
