The magazine's main aim is to give exposure to alternative and independent artists and movements. The people that we cover will be individuals who have led or lead their respective scenes, had the courage to break free from mainstream trends and as a result helped shape that mainstream.
With 10,000 free issues published on a quarterly basis, and targeted distribution in Toronto and Montreal, our mandate to provide a platform from which to promote leading-edge talent has been widely accepted. The Ukula project has received exceptional support from established artists in their field: from Guy Berryman (Coldplay) to Don Paterson (TS Elliot award winning writer).
