Reviews for "A Life of the Twentieth Century"

* A Life is a touching, intimate account of one woman’s search for happiness, Montreal Review of Books, April 2005. Andrea Belcham, Managing Editor of Vallum, contemporary poetry.

* The cover is eye-catching and the use of the flags is very creative. I like the way you rounded out your story, Judy Isherwood, Publisher, Shoreline.

* It is a captivating story that needs to be read to be believed, Meribah Aikens, MILR Newsletter, McGill University, May 2005.

* It describes very accurately the state of mind - namely disconnection - that is typical for war children. The style of writing is colourful, varied and easy to read, without being shallow. It should be prescribed reading for all "leaders" and politicians who are still seeking martial solution for the world's problems, Baroness, Marion von Keller, Germany, July 2005.

* Fortunately I read "A Life of the Twentieth Century" and was enthralled throughout. I thought it was a quality read, well done, polished and filled with integrity, honesty and candour. A book that should be read. Miriam Webb, Administrator, Canadian Jewish Book Awards, June 11, 2006

Michèle Barbeau Monette, Creative Writing Instructor, McGill University, February 2006

A harrowing, fascinating tale, linking the feudal era of Old Europe to modern times. A personal journey through war, bondage, liberation and survival, played out against the political backdrop of our times. A tribute to perseverance and hope.
