THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES premiered at the 2nd Annual Capital Fringe Festival, 2007 in Washington, DC. The Washington Post called it a “Can’t Miss” show, and "a promising cross between stand-up comedy, identity monologue and storytelling". It’s since been performed at the 2008 Orlando and Boulder Fringe Festivals, as well as the 2009 FRIGID New York Festival. After Montreal, John will be taking the show to Winnipeg, Indianapolis, and Vancouver Fringe Festivals, and thenassuming he survivesplans to spend winter in much-deserved hibernation. He premiered his follow-up solo show, THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES: HOW HEFNERIAN, at CapFringe 2008 and Orlando Fringe 2009 to strong reviews, in which one likened him to Henry Rollins.
