She spent a year bedridden. With determination, enthusiasm and a knack for spontaneous laugher, Tamra focused her dynamic energy by rebuilding her body and her life through creative arts and alternative health therapies focusing on balance and wellness.

Much of that time was spent contemplating her future. When it came to her career, Tamra was at a crossroads. It was time for a change.

With professional training and experience in acting (theatre and film) industry, Certified Educator in special needs and life-guarding, all, tucked under her belt, she sought to balance her passion of working with people, and that, of staying healthy.

A healthy mind, body and soul via physical fitness and good nutrition have always been essential elements for success in Tamra’s life. She exercises regularly maintaining a very active lifestyle. She walks in support of the annual walk to end breast cancer. But as she slowly got back on her feet, Tamra was looking to expand her social circle and the right career fit. A friend told her about a laughter club and suggested she give it a try to lift her spirits.

Not only did Tamra become interested after one session, but she headed straight to Toronto for professional laughter therapy training with the movement’s founder Dr. Madan Kataria. He’s been making people around the world laugh since 1995.

Upon her return from Toronto, Tamra promptly built her own program, LAUGH-with-ME! or RIEZ avec MOI!, based on the R.E.D principle: R - relaxation/relaxer, E - exercise/s'entrainer and D - de-stressing/de-stressor through the use of laughter.

She now offers weekly laughter seminars and workshops to businesses and organizations (LAUGH-with-ME!) in Montreal. Her seasonal schedule can be best found by e-mailing her: <everyonelaughwithme@yahoo.ca > or by leaving your name, telephone number and the best times to return your call at: (514) 989-8393.

Tamra strives hard to create a safe space for people to experience and share the health benefits of a good belly laugh. She is proud of having found a career in stress-less consulting that calls upon her acting and teaching talents allowing her to pass along a healthy lifestyle message, too!

On the first day of May (2005), Tamra organized a successful bilingual event to mark the 10th anniversary of Kataria’s International Laughter Day. It featured an afternoon of FREE comic relief and laughter therapy. These days, Tamra continues to provide stress relief to businesses, individuals, organizations and Lifestyle Consulting (health and wellness nutrition options, private yoga courses & relaxation techniques) to Montrealers, but her heart is closest to the clients in women’s centers.

Her plans to continue eliciting healthy chuckles while reducing stress in the community, remain constant, but also offering stress less opportunities in schools are just around the corner-stress reduction for the students and that which teachers face in the classroom,

Tamra’s aspires to a 5 year plan: a health centre offering one-stop affordable wellness solutions to everyone. Her clients would benefit from learning to live and love a homeostatic (balanced living) lifestyle. Her goal is to make available get-a-ways in an organic environment for women, men, and eventually their families. Tamra’s motto is: Live a life YOU love and love the life YOU live...because in doing what you love, the money will come. And that’s exactly what Tamra is banking on.

Tamra is refining her expertise as she has since refined her yoga master training. This enables her to further expand the stress less concept in her laughter therapy seminars and workshops. Montreal’s Laughter Lady still has plenty of tricks up her sleeve. She’s looking forward to the day when the entire city will LAUGH-with-Her!!!
