Unconditional Love: The Human-Canine Relationship is a charming book full of facts and great dog stories, with coloured photos to match. The author conducted her own survey of dog owners and offers some insights into why we adopt a dog, feelings about our canine companions and our perceptions about their personalities. The human-canine bond is explored with sensitivity and humour.
Catherine Kierans will be signing copies of her book at the ICN 2005 Book & Creative Arts Conference, on Sept 10
REVIEWS
This is a very fine book that is sure to be required reading for anyone who has ever owned and loved a dog. The research is thorough, and the chapters are individually very strong. Cathy has managed to collect a number of humorous stories, and interlaced them with comments of her own to create a must-read. She is a skilled story-teller, and her spunky, life-loving personality comes through in every page. Congratulations!
