Introducing a debut book of poems, Just Words, Sharing my Heart, Aileen Lebofsky

Author: Christina - Published 2011-04-05 09:58 - (8850 Reads)

Just Words…Sharing My Heart:

Poetry is passion, and it is this passion that I have the privilege of sharing with you, dear reader. I hope that you experience the same joy reading the poems in this, my first book of poetry, as I did in writing them. Born and raised in Montreal, I attended Dawson College and Concordia University in the 1970s and 1980s. I have been writing poetry since the age of 13, while navigating the hallways and annexes of Wagar High School. I am a member of the Quebec Writers’ Federation, the Canadian Authors Association and the Invisible Cities Network.

ELAN invites all Quebec artists and writers to fill out an ONLINE SURVEY

Author: Christina - Published 2011-02-14 16:33 - (4350 Reads)

The English-Language Arts Network launched a survey last week to gather information about the lives and needs of English-speaking artists and cultural workers in Quebec.

It's just 28 questions and takes about 10 minutes to fill out. Your experience is of great importance to help us understand the diversity of culture and conditions in Quebec.

Furthermore, any help you can offer in attracting input from other artists/cultural workers is equally valuable. I am hoping you will encourage your contacts and networks to participate, or help me to reach other organizations/networks that can offer similar assistance.

Introducing the book: Letters to a Young Therapist, by Vincenzo Di Nicola,

Author: Christina - Published 2011-02-10 20:29 - (5687 Reads)

Di Nicola is a true master of constructive inquiry, synthesis, and brilliant creativity. Memorable aphorisms leap from every page of this very wise, thoughtful, and beautifully written book in which the healing process of discovering and making meaning to help reorder the minds and lives of troubled persons is clarified. I highly recommend this book for all those who are or who would be therapists.

Armando Favazza, MD, MPH, Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry, University of Missouri-Columbia. Pioneer in cultural psychiatry. Author of "Bodies Under Siege."
