Left of Centre Theatre Company, we are very pleased to announce our next show Aladdin by James Barry and directed by Simone Nichol.

Aladdin is delights the audience with all the traditional theatrical conventions that is unique to pantomime - audience participation, the usual slapstick moments, the very risqué double entendres and the outrageous (cross-dressing) with the Dame.

The 11th FMA presents an innovative and eclectic programming, covering a wide variety of musical styles and hosting a number of artists from Indonesia, Europe, Africa, USA, the Arab world, and Canada. The selected shows feature, in the spirit of the theme Arabitudes, artists who dare to rebel against unchanging forms of traditions and who undertake, through musical and cultural blending, innovative approaches, moreover revolutionary.

Le 11e FMA propose une programmation éclectique et passionnante, touchant à une large variété de disciplines et de styles musicaux et accueillant une foule d'artistes d'Indonésie, d'Europe, d'Afrique, des États-Unis, du monde arabe et du Canada. Les spectacles sélectionnés laissent transparaître, dans l'esprit du thème Arabitudes, des artistes qui osent se rebeller contre les formes figées des traditions et qui entreprennent, par le biais du métissage musical et culturel, des démarches innovatrices.

The play tells the story of six elderly ladies living together in a boarding house who hatch a plan for meeting their handsome neighbour, who happens to be a homicide detective.

How do you get a homicide detective's attention?

A dead body usually helps or at least this is what the ladies believe! For more details you will have to see the play!

Expozine, Montreal’s annual small press, comic and zine fair, will take place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 5035 St-Dominique (Église Saint-Enfant Jésus, Laurier Métro). Free admission.

This incredible event brings together nearly 300 creators of all kinds of publications– from books to zines to graphic novels – in both English and French.
