The Left of Centre Theatre Company is very happy to be presenting its second pantomime: Puss in Boots. Come see how the Big Bad Ogre terrifies the kingdom of King Eric, how the very clever Puss assists Harry, the poor miller's son, to trick the Ogre (by using special magic of course!) and how Puss helps Harry win the heart of the beautiful Princess. Puss in Boots, a pantomime, is for both the young and young at heart and again enjoys having lots of audience participation. Directed by Simone Nichol, starring Leanna Glance, Margaret Owen, Heather Huff, Anne-Marie Saheb and Michael Panich.

TOP YOUNG TALENTS from Montreal’s indie music scene will headline the official launch of the Rover, a new online magazine covering the arts in Montreal. The evening will be hosted by Rover founder and editor Marianne Ackerman, backed up by literary editor Elise Moser and some twenty-five Rover contributors, including Heather O’Neill, Mark Abley, Dimitri Nasrallah, Sebastian Buzzalino and Len Eichel. The site went up October 1 but will launch officially on Nov 27 with a festive evening...

Vote online for Short Film competition

Short Film competition on Radio Canada International's website

Each film deals with an aspect of the theme of immigration and they come from all parts of the world. None is longer than 9 minutes and there are some real gems. For people who didn't get a chance to see any of these short films at the Montreal International World film festival, or to see my own short "A Spanish Tale" here's a chance to see them ON-LINE.
During the following week 10 English and 10 French films will be on-line for people to view and vote towards the selecting 5 in each category to go to the semi-finals. Hope you'll enjoy these films and come back to see the final selection in a week.
